You've been put on this earth to be all you can be, like the reserves...

Dress [Zara + DIY] Halter (worn as chainmail) [Ilaria Nistri] Sleeves [Vintage Helmut Lang]
Chain Belt, Gloves, Leggings, Necklace [DIY]

Joan of Arc? Fanatic. Me? Cynic. Both completely bonkers. Though one could argue chronic unprovoked paranoia isn't quite the same as hearing voices from God telling you to dress up as a man to join the French Army. But I've seen French soldiers and I definitely can't be mad at a chick wanting to push up on one. Mmm.

Oh right, Halloween. Focus. What can I say? By the time I've finished prancing around like a biddie in my room, it's all downhill. Unless they're randomly serving pork loin and sloppy joes at the party you're at. Just because I popped my belt off a few times, doesn't mean you have the right to judge me.

Although she's crazy steppin' I'll try and stop her stride

Bodysuit [American Apparel] Top [Helmut Lang] Skirt [Vintage]
Shoes [Aldo] Tights (cut into socks) [Urban Outfitters]

I have to say Aldo is really stepping up their shoe game lately. While I was dying for the rubber soled Balenciagas, these come pretty close to greatness.

The skirt is a vintage slip I discovered while rummaging through the EUR1 bin at a vintage shop in the Marais. No doubt after my amazing find I indulged in falafel made by blue-eyed Isreali men that make Jessica drool. Since there wasn't much else to do on Sundays in Paris, we became repeat offenders of the vintage shopping/falafel combo.

The Helmut Lang bralet is a constant go-to when channeling my inner S&M mistress. When I bought this piece I was pretty much convinced it would most likely spend eternity in my closet, but  once I worked it into an outfit I realized it's potential. To this day it is in my top ten of skanky things I can't live without (others include my mesh apparel and body chains). Nothing like a little bondage to kick a little flavor into your day.

Minty Fresh

Leather Jacket [Helmut Lang] Tee [BDG] Skirt [Club Monaco]
Tights [Wolford] Boots [Opening Ceremony] Necklaces [random copper chains I purchased]

This week I decided to leave my urban island to pick up my dog Juno who was being held captive in suburbia. Sometimes I feel out of place dressing in my usual attire in the suburbs but then again I usually just feel sorry for the unfortunate women wearing the ever popular Tory Burch Lily Pulitzer ensembles ( and if you don't know what that means consider yourself blessed). This particular morning I was feeling influenced by early hip hop style a personal favorite of both Jessica and I. After the Mint Condition post I felt compelled to purchase a mens mint green t-shirt for a test run, the copper chains complimented the color perfectly. I am starting to adjust to the winter season which means breaking out the merino wool tights, I consider these tights to be my most important winter essential besides a cocoon-like coat.

No one on the corner have swagger like us...

Blazer [Hussein Chalayan] Tank [me] Jeans [Tripp]
Shoes + Mittens [Maison Margiela] Hat [Zara] Belt [vintage]

Leather jacket [Helmut Lang] Top [Ohne Titel] Skirt [Club Monaco]
Boots [Opening Ceremony] Chain [H&M] Hood/Scarf [Alexander Wang]

Finally got around to doing our first photo session. It wasn't until afterwards that I realized how bizarre we look in a garden. Morgan and I surrounded by greenery? Very unnatural. It's the closest we'll ever come to camping. We'll keep to our more familiar spots in the future like questionably-odored corner seats on the R train and wherever the Chifles are located in any bodega. I recreated the outfit I wore for my interview on Tuesday. Chalayan jacket + Margiela pumps? BOMB DOT COM

Thank you Erica for letting us exploit you for camera duties! We'll bring you a loaf of blue cheese polenta bread with black pepper butter next time we go to Momofuku Milk Bar. I almost drooled on my keyboard typing that. Wow.
